My Japenese roommate says that the reason Anime is so popular is because you aren't allowed to show real violence, sex, aggression...I don't know why because I don't think sex is seen as dirty or moralistic, just PRIVATE!!!

Just realized the only live action Japense movie I've ever seen is Godzilla and some other monster one.
