yes true but there is a lot of abuse towards animals aswell.
Also, did you know that the RSPCA (charity against abuse to animals) was created before the NSPCC (charity against abuse to children)
And the R in RSCPA stands for Royal but there is no Royal in the NSPCC only National!
Also it's to do with the fact that often when animals are treated badly they have done nothing wrong at all and they are innocent etc. Whereas, for example the Rwanda Genocide the two tribes fought because they believed that each other was wrong and guilty of doing what maybe only a small percentage of the group had done.
Not sure if that makes sense but basically I'm trying to say that animals can't really do much wrong and so some people feel they have to protect them from people who think it's okay to hurt them

Personally, I don't like humanity in general. I would sooner cry over a domestic animal than I would cry over a man being run over by a tram or a car.
Animals don't have the same way of thinking that we do and therefore you cannot expect them to behave the same way... that makes them look not only dumb to some people, but very innocent. They don't know any better.
Human beings DO know better. And they still do things that are wrong. That certainly suggest cruel intentions, wouldn't you say?
I don't mind people hurting other people, because those other people *sometimes* deserve it. I do mind people hurting animals because those animals don't deserve it at all!
Same with little children - they definitely don't deserve it!

Because we feel protective towards innocent animals. Not so towards humans. Many many animals are rough towards their own species. Male lions kill cubs of another male. We are just animals with big brains.

i know a guy whose grandma went ill, she left the will of home money in the name of her pet cat and the cat charity........the poor family did'nt see a dime of it...............plus look at the million plus that died in the iraq war, do they even get a mention???
