In todays modern world of skyscrapers and fast living i thought most countries strive for taller and better buildings
It would seem the USA dont agree

The United States has many of the world's most famous skyscrapers. After emerging in New York and Chicago in the 1870's and 1880's, skyscrapers were being built in cities all across the country by the early 1900's. Though they were initially greeted with a great deal of skepticism and even protest, by the 1920's they were essential elements to the identity and civic pride of the nation's growing cities. After WWII, skylines were transformed with successive waves of new buildings, culminating in a major boom in the 1980's. The pace has slowed in recent years, however, and today more skyscrapers are being constructed in Asia than America, including the world's tallest.

Sears Tower - Chicago
Empire State Building - NYC
Chrysler Building - NYC
Stratosphere - Las Vegas, Nevada

We may not have all the tallest building in the world here in the US, but you have to account for geography, demographics, etc. Plus, in Europe, every country has their own "skyscraper." We don't have a skyscraper in every state... but several in larger metropolitan locations.

All depends on what cities you have been to. If ya go to a small city then no. If you go to a fast paced business driven city like New York, Chicago, Detroit, or Atlanta then you will see plenty of skyscrapers

We were forced to paint all our tall buildings with invisible paint, too many people with attitudes were flying airplanes into them.
In a few months, we'll be coming out with invisible clothing as an added security measure. It will be very difficult for troubled religious people to conceal bombs and such.
