car stops but starts up right away. a few times it did not go off but car jumped forward acting as though it was going to die the only check lights coming on are battery and brake i checked battery and it is good. any suggestions before i take it to shop thank you

Change the power plugs or just clean. it is missing

The speed sensors have a tendancy to go bad. This tells the computer that the car is speeding up or slowing down so it can compensate for fuel and air thus controlling the Idle Air Control Valve. Is this a V6 or a 4 Cylinder????

if its a distributor driven car than im 99% sure that the ignition module is going bad, its a $10 dollar part and when its miss diagnosed by a shop its damn pricey...if its not than the alternator power wire is loose.

Maybe the transmission switch is going bad. Is the car still under warranty? Did you buy an extended warranty? good luck

sounds like the idle control valve,throttle potentsiometer or the egr valve all are ellectronic so you will have to get it checked out.

check the fuel line shutoff
