I used to hate to cook. But since I got married I actually kind of enjoy it. It's like making a present for my man every day. Now, I'm NOT very good at it, but I think he actually appreciates the effort.

Baking is harder for me though.

Quick anecdote: I am still friends with my first boyfriend ever and when he and his wife were having a baby, I told him I was making something for him. His response: Good grief, please don't tell me you cooked something!

PS -- No, I sewed something. :-)

I like to cook. There's something about making it yourself. Chopping the garlic, adding spices, mixing, etc. Yes it helps to have a big kitchen with all the bells and whistles, that would be nice. But for me and most people I have a small kitchen in a small apartment but I make it work.

I do like to cook but I never cook just for me. I think the bestpart of cooking is the reaction you (hopefully) get from the people you have cooked for. My fella was particularly pleased with the pork in blackbean sauce last night. Tonight he is getting a cheese, onion and mushroom omlette with potatoes and plum tomatoes as there is a big bunch of stuff I need to use up!

I love cooking, but can understand why some people don't get thrilled by the prospect. Either you like something or you don't. Just stick to basic stuff, and if anyone wants a 3 course meal, let them pay for it in a restaurant. Life's too short to tie on an apron if you don't want to.

Yes I just love cooking, its about one of the only things I'm really good at, come from an Italian family so its in the blood, I taught my hubby to cook when we got married and thankfully he is a good cook too.

I wish I could cook - recently divorced and living on my own. Starting to get bored with take-aways, baked beans on toast and microwaved TV dinners but I burn even the simplest meals. In my uni days the agreement with housemates was always they cooked I cleaned.

I like to cook for people who appreciate it like the homeless. And I have to be in a very clean and well-sanitized kitchen area also. There's nothing worse than an unorganized kitchen with bugs and dirty dishes.

I love cooking. My sister's just been to visit and she confided that one of the main reasons she comes is to have my puddings. Her youngest daughter brought her partner 300 miles for my Spotty Dick.

I never eat out or order in; I never have ready meals. I live on my own and part of my settling down routine is to stick the pans on the top or the oven on for the casserole and make my own evening meal.

I love to cook when I'm cooking for other people but not for myself. It really makes me happy to have my family and friends gathtered together enjoying some meal I have put together.
