I couldn't believe it. Benoit very rarely loses rather he is face or heel but to make him tap to John Cena who should have in no way been able to even lock a hold on Chris Benoit was just ridiculous. I was shocked at this and I think that the match should have been thrown out somehow due to interference. I understand that Vince does not want Cena to lose ever, but that made Benoit look really weak. It was just another garbage win by John Cena. My brother was over last night and another friend of mine that had never really seen Cena wrestle and he thought it was hilarious at how my brother and I called Cena's last handful of moves dead on before he was even doing them. He couldn't believe that a guy was that predictable in the ring. WWE needs some serious help in their writing department right now. The show is starting to suck.

Raw was in my hometown of Indianapolis last night and after watching Raw I am glad I decided not to by tickets and drive back home from school (Michigan State) to see it. I have been a fan of Chris Benoit ever since I saw him on ECW, then when he was on WCW where he aligned himself with the 4 Horsemen and right before he left winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and finally to now in the WWE and I have got to say having to watch Benoit, who has trained his whole life to be a wrestler from Stu Hart's Dungeon to Stampede Wresltling as well as wrestling in Japan and Mexico and put in so much dedication to it, "job" to Cena, who never wrestled a day in his life before his mid twenties when his bodybuilding career was going in the crapper so he decided since Vince McMahon has such a man crush on big men he would give wrestling a shot, was a giant punch in the gut for me. Chris Benoit is considered the greatest all around pro wrestler today internationally not just by the fans but by the press and other wrestlers as well and for him to have to lose to that fraud of a wrestler proves why the WWE has lost it's way and is starting to spiral downward. Also Benoit having to submit to Cena's crappy version of the STF (William Regal does it best because he is able to put it on at any time while Cena does it when the guy is already on the ground) proves that Vince doesn't care at all about the wrestlers in the WWE or what they have accomplished, no the only ones he cares about are those whom careers he created himself because his ego is so massive that he thinks he can make anybody a talented wrestler and he can't, which is evident with Cena and Roidtista. If I was Chris Benoit I would feel disrespected because Benoit is the best submission wrestler today and Vince knew that so he wanted his little poster boy to beat Benoit by submission. It's disgusting! It just goes to show that the WWE backstage is nothing but politics and kissing ***. I hope that answers your question.

ok first benoit did not job to cena. did you actually watch the match? and second my GF used to be a pro wrestler and she has put me in the stfu when we were playing around and i can say from experience it hurts more than the sharpshooter. it is a modified crossface that puts some serious torque on your knee. and why all the cena bashing? the guy has skills in the ring and on the mic. half the guys in the WWE cant cut a promo to save their life but cena can with no problems. he has a strong ring presence and can hold his own with just about anyone. actually he kinda reminds me of the ultimate warrior in the way he never gives up and fights as hard as he can till there is nothing left. and lastly they are not going to send any of the guys that are in the top billed matches in wrestlemania to wrestlemania on a loss. you can rest assured that pretty much all of the guys in the top billing will be winning from here on out. something will happen in the tag match between batista/undertaker and cena HBK so no one will lose. they will probably all turn on each other and they will call the match a draw. oh yea and one last thing benoit did it because he respect cena and his holding of the title. benoit is a consummate professional but also a man who does not do things he does not believe in. he also understands that he was gone for a while and the fans are fickle. cena is the big draw right now and benoit has to work his way back to the top of the pecking order.

We were supposed 2 have Cena vs Benoit and HBK vs JBL. But JBL refused 2 retire n poor Benoit tapped out 2 the STFU. STFU is a very poor move, they should at least have used the FU 2 end the match, or give Benoit the win. Coming 2 think of it, WWE will never let their champ lose on RAW.

Like I said before, it's just to gain interest in the WM match. This would not have happened if there was a threat of another major federation. TNA is underrated, and doesn't get the pay-per-view revenue WWE does. If WCW was still around, Vince would think twice about burying superstars that would easily be main eventers and/or champs elsewhere. Cena will lose the belt, but only because it's set up for him to do a heel turn. McMahon really just sees a money making machine in Cena. Someone that looks good, has charisma, and can sell merchandise...sounds like Hulk Hogan.

First, I'd like to laugh at Big_John for being beat up by his wrestler girlfriend : P
Now, I don't think you can call somone losing to the WORLD CHAMP a job.
Loosing to the STFU was pretty insulting, really, as Benoit has built his career on technical wrestling and Cena his on punching and being energetic.
I found it really interesting at the beginning of the match when Cena tried to 'assert' himself but Benoit refused to let him get offense until way later.
To me that was Benoit saying 'Look punk, if I'm gonna make myself look weak and tap out to your stupid STF, then I am going to make myself look strong now'
From a booking standpoint, I think Cena NEEDED to win that match. You can't bury the World Champ leading into the big match. I just wish he won "with what brought him" if you will. His brawling and firey spirit. I don't think Cena would've looked worse if he was able to escape Benoit's submissions, got a burst of energy, and hit a series of power moves followed by the FU for the win.
That's how I'd have booked it for sure.

I agree with you. I'm a Cena fan. But i'm more angry that it was just another formulaic Cena match. I mean, that tap out victory was also rather ridiculous especially since Cena put up like no offense. Lol. Benoit should'nt be jobbing to anyone really.

It was an interesting decision to do that. Benoit has been the victim of stuff like that before, like last year when he had to lose the U.S Title to JBL at Wrestlemania. And to think, he won the Royal Rumble and went on to win the WWE Title 3 years ago. Now he's jobbing for Cena and about to lose the U.S Title to MVP.

Um to big_john's answer um...you OBVIOUSLY don't know what your talking about. Benoit went through Stu Hart's dungeon and that's where he was put and taught EVERY submission there is, he was trained to build enough endurance to handle the pain, and to inflict it as well. Cena was not. Nobodies bashing Cena in saying that Benoit let him win, its just simple facts that Cena in a REAL submission match could NEVER defeat Benoit. O and about your "professional" girlfriend? who is she?
