Good morning everyone, I need help, I'm a little confused....so, Me and my husband have been ttc for 6 months, so this month I decided to start using an opk, on Thursday and Friday the test line was lighter than the control line, on Saturday and Sunday, the test line was the same color as the control line, and Monday the test line was darker than the control line, but what does this mean, shouldn't you only have a positive result for one day only?

Ovulation predictor kits measure LH (lutenizing hormone) which spikes 24-48 hours before ovulation. Some people have very short hormone spikes, while others have longer spikes. It's not an indicator of how fertile you are, whether your spike is long or short, but how your body processes that particular hormone. Some people will show two days of dark tests, and others only one.

You can ovulate for several days a month. I would guess that you should have tried on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Or, at least Saturday & Monday. Hopefully, you did. If not, you'll have to wait until next month. Good luck!
