The sole responsibility of a business is to make money. Responsibility social or otherwise is entirely up to the individual. Nobody does anything they don't want to do no matter who "promotes" it. If a business owner decides to promote an agenda they are free to do so. But they are taking a risk. They could very well alienate a portion of their customer base. I don't care for it when anyone preaches at me. And how would you define social responsibility? Voting? Not littering? Or perhaps pushing your personal beliefs on others? Values are taught at home, not by Home Depot.
