I was sexually abused as a child by my step-father. I "repressed" these memories. He is now in prison for abusing 2 other girls, but he will be out in 4 years. He owns the house across the street from me, and I don't want him around me ever again. However, the prosecuting attorney will not file any charges on him for me. He wont give any explanations either. I am 32 years old, so I know it may be an old case, but the statute of limitations is still good on this! I just don't know where to go from here. Our prosecutor is NOT doing his job at all! If he would at least talk to me and give me an explanation, but he just says his office isn't going to do anything about this!
Can anyone tell me who to contact?

He probably won't do anything because of the difficulty in proving a case so old. Also, because the man is already in jail, he may feel it would be a waste of taxpayer resources. I'm not saying its right, but a prosecutor has very limited resourses and has to use his them in a manner which he feels best benefits the community. However, most court systems now have victim rights departments. Check yours. They may be able to help.

It relies upon on how the no touch order replace into broken. If the complainant initiated touch then he/she is in violation of the no touch order and the lawyer won't prosecute because of the fact the guy who's under the order, did no longer something to facilitate the touch. First you ought to call the police and function the guy arrested. consistently have greater suitable copies of the no touch order. clarify which you're in concern of your life, that in many circumstances gets the ball rolling. technically the guy did something adequate to have the no touch order placed on them, so which you does no longer be incorrect in asserting that. If there continues to be no prosecution, bypass to the papers, no longer something worse than undesirable P.R. for a D.A. and his/her workplace.
