when it's warm flies gather in my room to stay cool, how do i get/keep them out with an open window?

please don't waste your time with smart remarks.
my room is clean, i don't leave no food nor dirt in it.
and i am aware that i can chase them with the
newspaper, would just rather not do so every day.

Hang a small ziploc bag of water in the open window. The light refraction through the water distorts the vision from their compound eyes. It will reduce the population considerably.

Besides the two Enstines above my answer, try this
It sounds strange,but I use it here in the Southwest,and it keeps away the Scorpions ..

A) Skin so Soft ( avon ) douse your walk way with it ...the smell keeps them away for some reason

B) spray on " white Vinager " OR Amonia

Do you not have a screen?

You could buy flypaper and hang it outside your window in hopes of diverting them, but if the window is open, it's going to be impossible to train the flies to not come in to cool off.

although screen is da best, but u cud also try this, shut all lightsin ur room n have a strong light installed outside the window , flies usually get attracted to light

Hang a no-pest strip in the corner behind your dresser and forget about chasing them out. It's like herding cats....just doesn't work to shoo them out the window. They just keep coming back.

The water thing works well. We hang them on our deck during the summer months.
