His Daddy named him "Sue" - Therefore the song by Jonnny Cash "A Boy Named Sue": As the song goes - the boy's dad named him Sue, traditionally a girls name, to make sure he grew up strong, his absent father unable to be there to protect him. The boy forgives his father - they have an emotional reconcilliation and the boy says at the end of the song: "And if I ever have a son, I think I'll name him . . . . Bill or George, any damn thing but Sue . . . I still hate that name!"
