i think Bree has her answer backwards. the ipod nano has the screen. i have an ipod nano, had it for about 2 yrs. i have the 1st generation and my sister has the 2nd. i personally like the 1st generation because its way easier to get music, pictures, contacts, notes ect. on it, and you dont have to download itunes because it comes with an itunes disk and you just have to put it in your comp. with the newer ipod nanos (2nd gen.) you have to get online and download the newer itunes and it takes about 2 hours. I would recommend buying the 1st gen. ipod nano!

I would get the mini, because of the screen. But if you are buying an ipod to run with or use while active, I would buy the nano. The nano doesn't have any movement inside, it is all digital. The mini has moving parts and you can skip it if you are running. But I like the mini better because it is easier to organize and keep track of your songs

the zune may have more beneficial useful sound high quality than the older version of an ipod and that's certainlt more beneficial useful than an ipod MINI. First if all, the zune is in color, higher in potential, may have %. and video clips in it too. that's a more beneficial as a lot as date version than the ipod mini.

I would go for neither.
I recently bought an iPood and found its getting harder for them to be used on PCs. iTunes is having a lot of issues with the new Vista, the music you put on it can only be music you own or steal. I took it back and got a Zune.
Zune is much more PC freindly. Zune offers unlimited song downloads for only $15 per month which iTunes doesn't do. Zune allows you to listen to radio, share with friends, change your background image and personalization, and has a bigger screen. What else would you want? solitaire? ha!
