If you have the cash in your bank account & want to keep track of it as you make purchases & have it directly debited from your account, then this will be a good way to go as they are accepted with the Visa and Mastercard logos. If you have a regular credit card billed monthly & just want to pay the bill off over time & keep your cash in your bank account, then you may want to take the credit card. I would personally choose taking the credit card so that the cash can be kept secure in your bank & it doesnt get in the wrong hands while on vacation. Enjoy your trip!

yes bring it

when you go to a bank it will do the exchange rate for you

when i go to Canada from the US i go to a bank that has the cirrus symbol like on the back of the card

i take $ out of the bank for ready cash and the exchange rate is done for me and i get Canadian $

also when you use it to purchase things at a store or restaurant as a CC VISA MASTERCARD on the front
they do it all also there is no worry about what the exchange rate is and you can always go on like or call your bank and see what your balance is
