Katie Price aka Jordan being named as Celebrity mother of the year.

Celebrity mothers must be a pretty pathetic lot then.

I think that it is probably the most blatant example of political correctness in our society today.
She's a chav, so the media and middle classes love her.
Her kid is of mixed race, big PC points there.
And you have the disabled bonus points as well.
Plus Jordan is married to a bit of a drip, so she gets sympathy points.
And she is persecuted by a press who want to violate her by taking picture of her inflated boobs (Why else is she famous?) So more sympathy.
When you add all that up, it is not suprising that she won a PC vote.
That aside, what has she actually done to be considered such a great mum, that is so much better than everybody else?
I wish the twits in media land would all grow-up.

I think the thing about Jordan is she has 2 totally different characters, There is Jordan Super Model totally loud mouthed, outspoken, extrovert - this is purely the image she has cultivated for the best publicity and her TV appearances, then I think you have katie, down to earth, warm hearted just a normal mum who adores her kids and goes thru all the ups and downs of motherhood that every other mum does....

She successfully keeps both personas separate from each other, which means to a certain extent she protects her kids from the media etc far more than other celebs - she knows exactly how to divide the 2 acts and her family always comes first no matter what.

I think she deserves the title for a very finely tuned life... I mean did you ever see her dangle her baby off a balcony

Jordan may have her faults but she certainly as far as a celebrity goes deserve the title. She is a good mother and care for her children. I admire her for that. I find her open and honest and that is more than can be said for most of the other celebrities. Good on her and i say Go Jordan Go, you deserve it.:))

Why are some of your answerers being so nasty about Katy Price (Jordon), she is just a Mum who just happens to be a Model as well. In my opinion she is not what they are calling her. She did not get any help with Harvey from his so called father, and until Peter came on to the scene she was a Single Mum. Maybe that`s what the matter with people they are jealous of her relationship with Peter.

I think its fair play as everyone had an equal chance. Although I cannot personally put up with the woman and think she is the worlds greatest show off (or on par with victoria Beckham!) I do honestly think she is a good mum. In saying that I also do not agree with how she is constantly putting herself on the front page of Hello or Ok mags in order to promote her Motherly status!! She and Andre are always on there with the kids!!

I think she comes across as a very loving and devoted mother.
She has a disabled child and puts across a very positive image to the press. She says it is hard work but hasn't hidden Harvey away from the world as if he were something to be ashamed of.
Just because she does glamour modelling it doesn't mean that she is a bad mother.

if she looked after her kids then yes go for it but the fact of the matter is her mother looks after the kid because she and that thing she calls her husband go of shopping and spending time with their friends

I agree with Champagne - totally! But one thing that does get me is the way she still dresses when she goes out with her hubby, I wonder how he feels when everyone just stares at her (boobs). Having said that I think she probably deserves the title. Good luck to her!

why not? she is a mother and she does look after her kids. so she used to be a topless model so what give the girl a break
