Some women do not get morning sickness, that is true. Think about when the flu is goind around--some people get hit harder by it, while others only get it mildly. I suppose its really luck of the draw. However, symptoms in early pregnancy have not been studied very extensively. There is an old wive's tale that says that if women do not get morning sickness, they might miscarry. In the July 2002 issue of Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, 90% of women who did not miscarry did experience nausea and other early-pregnancy-like symptoms within 6 to 8 weeks of their last menstrual period. These symtpoms started later in women who miscarried or smoked marijuana.

However, it is also widely believed that morning sickness is not connected to how healthy the baby is. It isn't entirely sure because of the lack of studies done in this area. I wouldn't worry about it, but talk to your doctor! If anything, its better to be safe and check in with your doctor.

I'm 21 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. I didn't get morning sickness at all so far. My sister is about 5 weeks ahead of me and she didn't get morning sickness either. Some women get it and some just don't.

I didn't. The only time I really felt sick was when I brushed my teeth and that's because, for some reason, the minty toothpaste started grossing me out, so I switched to a fruit flavor and it was resolved! So it's true that some women don't have morning sickness.

Yes, some lucky women are hated by the rest of us. Even worse, sometimes a woman is fine, and I know it's psychological, but their partners, and occassionally close friends, get sick instead! It's called sympathy pains, and they can get all the symptoms without the mother to be experiencing any!

everyone's system reacts differently to the hormonal changes caused by pregnancy (or in some cases taking the pill) according to wikipedia 50-90% of women are facing morning sickness, so there are some ppl whom do not feel nausious and sick in the first part of their pregnency.

yes, I did NOT and I am 30 weeks pregnant. I was told that if you take 1200 mg of folic acid AS SOON AS YOU find out that you are pregnant, then you won't get morning sickness, I did this and my pregnancy has been a breeze. Folic acid is very important for your baby anyways.
