With my son I didn't get heartburn at all, although I did get indigestion very early on, from about 4 weeks I think.
with my daughter I had morning sickness until about 20 weeks, then when that stopped the heartburn kicked in. It is generally when the baby starts squashing your stomach and everything gets moved up. I found the best thing was chocolate milkshake. Seemed to stop the burning, tasted nice than gaviscon, and was also full of calcium!!

You can get heartburn whether you are pregnant or not. Depends on what type of food you have been eating. Mostly, it is during the mid to later stages of pregnancy, but could happen at any time.

you start with indigestion quite early, i was about 8 weeks preg when mine started. it feels like heartburn but until you get proper late pregnancy heartburn, you dont realise how slight indigestion is!!
heartburn ususally starts after 5 months.

ooh I hated heartburn. I drunk a pint of milk + per day. It stopped the heartburn and painful leg cramps-gaviscon is just too nasty
