MY story
I'm 68 they didn't have computers in school when I went.......I'm certain I would have been a much better student.
I learned to use the computer by click 'n go method 4 years ago. My gran-daughter and daughter are amazed at what I have learned to do.
I Love the the internet. I can travel the world and never leave my house.
I am able to keep in touch with my family that is scattered throughout the United States. I keep in touch with my friends and never have to pick up the phone.
It has opened a world of shopping and price comparing.
The thing I enjoy the most is answering questions for homework on Yahoo! Answers.....I not only am able to assist in helping others ..........I also have gained a plethora of knowledge for myself.
I have also been able to assist other seniors in many ways because they are fearful of learning the use of the computer.
I am able to search for information about my ancestors........There is NO LIMIT To what I can learn.
My biggest desire is to be able to buy a computer for my cousin (same age as me) so that I can teach her and she too can do all of thing I do. Maybe someday!
Good Luck and I sincerely hope I have answered your question.

as far as development, my typing skills have improved from being in chat rooms. I still do not type well, but better. most of my work is on the internet. I can keep in touch with friends and family much better emailing than writing a letter longhand. I can find out things I need to know right away by looking it up on the internet. I look things up for others on the 'net. I still look for information in books, but some thing I have to look for on the internet.
