My cousin is getting married in September and wants to buy some glass hurricane lamps for the tables (the type you put candles/sand into). Any ideas where I can get about a dozen, obviously not too expensive? Went to Ikea this morning and they did not have any?

Check out one of the old-fashioned village hardware shops which seem to sell everything.

Do you mean 'Hurricane Lamp' as in the old WW2 type with a turn-up wick and uses paraffin? If so try Army surplus stores. Or better still look at www.hurricanelamps.co.uk. Otherwise try 'Googling' - hurricane lamps - for a store near you!

The usual places will have them, but it's a seasonal item and you're still a bit out of season. I saw some at Target last week, but I don't think that they're moving. I'm in Illinois, so we don't really hang out at night on the patio when it's 36F.

In a couple of months, you should see them everywhere that sells patio furniture.
