I see what you are saying. Why don't they make a stamp an even #. I mean , how am I supposed to put quarters and dimes in a machine at the post office for a couple of stamps??? If I did, I would get, a bunch of 1c stamps for my change. How am I supposed to fit 1c stamps at the rate of 41c on a normal size envelope.

Yes, I agree with you, round off the stamp to an even # , so it would be easier to pay for. The USPS is not stupid, they know that they make more money making it an odd #, because who the heck is ever going to use those 1c stamps???

This is just a theory but i think its cause alot of people use the us postal service less and less every day, specially since e-mail and so many people using on line payment programs not many people mail anything snail mail anymore. And $.50 would be ridiculous, $1 for 2 stamps would be insane, that would push even more people away from using the us postal service.
