My daughter has issues with bedwetting, and the bedding and her pajamas still faintly smell like urine even after washing several times.

My daughter had the same problem and our solution is 1/2 cup of baking soda in each wash. It boosts the laundry detergent's cleaning power for normal clothes and pulls the urine smell out of "accident" clothes. Follow with a 1/2 cup of vinegar in the rinse (you can put it in one of those downy balls for ease of use) to help more with the smell and plus, it's a great substitute for fabric softener.

Washing immediately after the accident is also really helpful. If you can't wash right away, even rinsing out with cold water will keep the urine from fermenting and setting into the cloth.

Hope that helps!

Vinegar in the washing water and careful drying should help. Dry until everything is really fully dry and no moisture at all left.

Let her drink water or fruit and herb teas in the evening that the amount of uric acid in her urine gets down. That will reduce the smell.

And the best thing would be to find out the root cause for the bed wetting and stop it there :-)

I wash the clothes in warm water and use a little extra detergent. I stop the machine and let the clothes sit and soak for awhile after the soap has dispersed. Then I let the cycle finish. This usually works well. Of course, it's probably easier to make sure the litterpan is cleaned everyday so the cat won't pee in the clothes!

Spray cleaning solution directly on the problem spot before washing. It may still take a few washings to get the smell completely out, but this usually helps.

You might also try adding about 1 cup of white vinegar to the washer with your detergent. It's amazing what you can do with vinegar! I wouldn't use it with bleach though, not sure what chemical reaction might happen.

Parson's Sudsy Ammonia or a cheaper knock-off.
