It is only for women because it is a womans virus. You can get the other disease if your partner has hpv.

I don't know much about the vaccine, but yes, it is for women. HPV is harmless for a man except for the warts. In the female, it can cause uterine cancer, otherwise it is harmless in them as well. Only a small percentage of women get cancer from HPV, but even though the percentage is small, it is still a significant number of women.
I would speak to a Urologist about the warts and the virus. It might be that there is a way to protect your partner from HPV other than prophylactics. I read somewhere years ago that the wives of men who where circumcized had less cervical cancer than the wives of men with their foreskin intact. I don't know if that is cancer associated with HPV or not. But a Urologist could tell you for sure. It might be that if you had the warts removed, that you would not be as contagious, which would be a good thing.

I actually read something about this several days ago in the local paper here. If I remember correctly there is a drug company doing a study about the use of a HPV vaccine for men. I don't think it is the same one used for women though. Not enough information about the vaccine and side effects to be certain right now the effects in men. But to answer your question, you would not find a dr. that would give you the Gardisil HPV vaccine.

it will not cure what you already have, it is a preventative... plus, it is intended for women as it is thought that HPV may be a precursor to cervical cancer...which you can't get....
sorry
