I am looking for a reputable "doggie day care" around the Austin, TX area. I live in Leander and need to have someone watch my dog for about 11 nights in September. Has anyone taken their dog to one of these types of facilities? I don't have a lot of money to spend so that is another thing to consider. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you.

Hey there, I am not far from you in Norh Austin. I am afraid since I have three pugs I do not have the luxury of being able to afford to board them. I know that it can be tough to find help with doggie sitting. Here are a few links to places I have heard great things about. I know money can be a concern with this type of thing, but it is also hard to find a decent place that will take good care of your dog for a cheap price. Good luck.(at least you have time to look)

Several years ago, I took my dog to a kennel in Leander. I'm sorry I do not have the name of it any longer, but perhaps you can look in the yellow pages, as that is how I found them?

They were on Baghdad past Nameless Road about 2 miles on the right. They had indoor kennels that had doggy doors that opened into a mini yard. She took them out to the little pond they had on property once a day if they were well behaved.

My friend takes hers to a stricly daytime doggie day care in Lakeway, but I think you are saying you need 24/7 care. So many leave them in cages and walk them one time a day. My dog would die...
