I am looking for a legitimate website with tips on how to write a good cover letter. I am also looking to see if anyone has a good tip for me.

The way I learned it from my university's career services:

Paragraph 1" How you found the position (website, career service, classified, etc). And introducing who you are (as you can see from my attached resume, I studied xx at uxx)

Par. 2 - Why you want to work there (what is it about that company specifically that you like)

Par 3 - Why they should hire you (how is your experience, personality something they need. What are you going to bring to them that addresses their company needs)

Par 4 - Thank you, and a way to contact you.

keep it short and sweet - introduce your self - say which position you are applying for briefly tell them your attributes - out going, friendly , hardworking, trustworthy reliable ect.
Tell them what you have been doing eg prvious job or study
thank them for their time in readind over the attached resume' and you look forwrd to speaking with them to discuss employment opportunities in further detail.
