Yes plus they're trying to make Lashley look unstoppable so it was (I guess) a good way to prove the point - though I don't know why they kept that Masterlock Challenge as long as they had.

You are right brother, yes they did make it extremely obvious that the Masterlock was going to be broken because of the fact that the Masterlock Challange was put up too many times and wasn't broken in the past few months.
You could also sense it coming from the commentator reactions to the recent Masterlocks. It really was coming. And when they showed the clips of the Masterlock History, it just became damn obvious, you are right.
Also at this moment the WWE is really trying to push that match Lashley VS Umaga (Battle of the Billionaires) towards the top, and they will do anything for it.
Notice the few first timers that have happened? WWE always has a catalog of that, when they want to put a person over with the crowd on basis of his strength, or charisma, well they have it all in the stock. (1) Lashley beat Umaga down (2) Lashley broke the steel cage and now (3) Lashley broke the Masterlock.
Lashley is winning this match anyways... its just WWE's marketing tactics.

Lashley is da best Champ between Cena and Batista...so possibly he broke the masterlock and da masterlock sucked but it is better than STFU!!

Yes, they flat out told us that it was being broken. But go back and watch the battle royal at WM21. If you ask me, it looks like Booker T broke it!

it was VERY obvious. i don't like lashley, so i wish they would have given to someone who has been in the business for a longer period of time.
