Queen Elizabeth could be represented by many foods; however, what you need to know is that she was good to those she loved and punished those who she thought betrayed her.

I would choose caviar as a food that could describe her because it is only available to those who could afford it; and the peasants didn't have access to money or the queen.

If it was something you have to make, It should be something pleasing to the palate, yet could cause indigestion to some if eaten in mass quanitity because of her manner of how she could be so nice and giving and then in the blink of an eye turn on one of her subjects in a heartbeat and clap them in the tower!

It could also be alcohol when taken in small quantity can be quite pleasant; spend too much time drinking (spending time in the Queen's company) and you could end up with a nasty headache.

My guess I that she was known as the "virgin queen" because she never married which I know does not mean se was a virgin but because of the times it could be possibly assumed, I would say cherry tarts.

Unfortunately, you don't say which of the Elizabeths! Tudor one--Syllabub; present one, Quail.

I'd recommend something from the desserts section. Those were something enjoyed only by the nobility.
