Need a way to run them out out of the yard..We have Chickens, dogs and cats though so really do not want to use poison. Need a way to run them further away from the areas they seem to like that is to close in to the house. Any Ideas? This is the first time we have ever had the problem.

If you mix peppermint oil (8-10 drops) into a medium size spray bottle full of water and then spray the areas that you think they are...this ususally helps. Also, mix hot peppers (jalepeno, etc.) with chocolate and throw this mixture into the visible holes around your yard...once they try the "hot" chocolate mixture they'll never come back (it's harmless too...no harmful side effects except for a 'hot mouth' for a couple mts).

You have moles because you have grubs. Hand pick all japanese beetles and drop them into soapy water to keep the grub populatioond down. Rake up the yard a lot so the chickens can get some grubs. Your kitties would be catching moles if there were that many, and you would see dead moles because the cats will kill them but not eat them..

Moles do not eat plants, and their trails can just be pushed back down with your foot. I'd rather have them than more japanese beetles.

Moles are there in your yard feasting on grubs that are just below the grass roots. Get some grub killer and apply that to the lawn. The moles will immediately leave because their food supply will be gone.

My dad used to sick our cat on them. Why not let your cats and dogs have at it?
