I want to design my own web site to sell a product that I've invented so I need the least expensive way to do so. I also need a link so the customer can order with visa/mastercard.

Hi there. This will depend largely upon your experience with web design. If you have no experience, most top hosting providers (the folks that hold the content you want your customers to see) contain page-building tools that will allow your site to look fairly professional. I chose www.bluehost.com for the cheap monthly cost and the amount of bandwidth/storage space they provide. For just under $7/month, you get a crazy amount of stuff and they're rated among the top 10. They have built-in shopping cart scripts you can install with just a few clicks. Their tech support is also pretty top notch and can assist you with setting up the payment system as well.
