If your town has a community college, you should go to the counseling office there and take a career assessment. If possible, try to do one that considers your natural ability and your interests. After the assessment, sit and talk to a guidance counselor about what careers are available and what you need to get started. It sounds tedious, but the first thing to do is to figure out what your interests are and how the skills you have now can help you find that job.

There are some good on line tests available, especially at job sites like Monster, etc. I'd be curious to hear what tests you took and why they didn't work.
