I just read an article where mathematicians figured out E8. I've read it over 2x and I'm still not sure what it is or what the future implications could mean.

I take it that it has something to do with string theory, which I'm familiar with.

Can someone explain it in simple terms (if that's possible)?

If you wanna discuss it on your question where we both originally posted, I'd be happy to engage you.

And calm yourself. You're going to have a heart attack if you keep getting excited.

Well, if you're familiar with string theory, then you're familiar with the simpler Lie groups of the standard model like the U(1) or SU(2) etc. This is just a much more complex Lie group that resides in a very complex geometry.

I'll explain something in laymans terms for you.

Clinton was impeached for lying under oath to a grand jury while he was being investigated for sexual assault, not "getting a b.j." as you keep saying on my questions (which have nothing to do with my questions).

lying in a sexual assault case NOT getting a b.j.!!!!!
