It will be our 1st wedding anniversary next month,and i am looking for ideas for what to do. I don't get out that often and i would like to do something memorable,and not too expensive. Any ideas?

Go back to the place you met or went to on your first date. If its a restaurant pre order some of the foods you had when you were there the first time or get a special bottle of wine.

How about a night away from home - book into a lovely hotel and have a meal there ...? You mentioned not too expensive, not sure how much it would be but how about something like a champagne hot air balloon ride? Good luck, hope you find something suitable and enjoy yourselves! Happy anniversary.

Plan an evening in just the 2 of u. Make a nice dinner maybe something of your wedding meal, set out candles and great music and leave little notes around the house of hints were to go next for his present. example... when he goes to the kitchen have a note in the fridge of where to go next and whats waiting for him. Have him continue till the last one.

traditionally paper is given as a 1st anniversary gift. Did you have any special readings at your wedding? if so get one of these hand printed and framed.

buy her the newspaper as paper is for first anniversary then in years to come she will be able to see what was going on in the world when celebrating your first year together.All to do with memories.

well for the 1st annerversery traditionally you give paper what about a blown up photo of your wedding day or make something speacail for him for christmas for my feonce i got a small heart shaped tin and filled it with little confetti hearts and told him that it was a box of love whenever we had to be apart he can look at it and remember that he is loved and whenever he is feeling down he can look at it and remember hes loved.

Traverse City, Michigan. Find yourselves there, perhaps at the Homestead. It's really beautiful, romantic, and there's the lake nearby (Lake Michigan).
