Depends on the batteries, I have had to replace my batteries as often as every month and have gone as long as a year without changing batteries. My batteries tend to last longer in my keyboard then my optical mouse. The better the battery the longer they will last. If you use batteries designed for digital cameras they may last up to a year or more. The length the batteries will last depends on what you are doing, normal office work or gaming.

play it safe like I do I have rechargeable batteries and recharge them every saturday night until sunday am and my mouse never fails me
