I still think either Ronaldinho or Henry is the best player in the world. They have consistently had exceptional seasons even though defenders know how they play.
Ronaldo has had a great season, but he will have to produce that standard for at least two more years before he becomes the best.

The only trouble with a question like this is, the World is such a huge place and to place one Footballer right at the top, means he has a hell of a long way to fall when he does not make the grade as (The Best Footballer In The World). Cristiano Ronaldo is having a AWESOME SEASON, and is a VERY VERY GOOD FOOTBALLER. Surely we can be satisfied with that.

Now, I don't know if Christian Ronaldo is the best footballer in the world, but he certainly is the hottest.

On current form he is right up there with the best. People are saying Ronaldihno but I guess they didnt see his no show in the Champions league.
If Ronaldo played for a Spanish or Italian club then people would be saying he is the best, but because he plays for Manchester United nobody will give reds fans the satisfaction of admitting one of the best players on the planet plays for United

Ronaldinho was voted the best by Uefa and Fifa have voted Canavaro.
Ronaldo is going very good but I think it's still early to say that because he's good in England and not in the Champions League where you'd see the likes of Kaka and Drogba on fire.
He can only make it if Man U win the Champions League or else if it Chelsea then Drogba will grab it and if it Milan then Kaka will.
Thanx!

I don't know a Christian but Cristiano is certainly playing very well at the moment. The flaw is how can you define one player as the best? the best is all relative and interesting that its the goalscorers that are known as the best yet the defenders and goalkeepers on which the team is just as reliant are never thought about unless they make a mistake.

At the moment Yes he is...........all the people who are saying Henry or Ronaldinho (I think I even saw a David Beckham) are putting reputations before performances. I bet if you asked any defender who they would least like to play against then they would say Christiano Ronaldo

He's good and all, but don't forget Ronaldinho. He proves himself a lot, and shows how good he is in every kind of play, and especially International Play. He always has a great World Cup, but also.. so does Ronaldo. I'd say Ronaldinho has a better team, espcially on Brazil, and I think I could comfortably say Ronaldinho is better.

It's a hard thing to tag someone with "The best footballer in the World"... he probably is at the moment, but who knows next week!?
Ronaldinho has it all to be the best too in my opinion. I've seen him do stuff I've never even imagined possible! Pitty he plays for Barça

Yes, he is one of the best, look at him he is 22, and he plays very good, he is so young and one of the best already.
With out a doubt Cristiano Ronaldo is the best.
