ABSOLUTELY NOT.

i don't see a reason why the children be allowed to have mobiles.they are wasting money any valuable time as well, when they should concentrate on studies.in case of urgency or necessity you find so many public booths,s that they can contact parents.now a days even school going children are carrying the mobiles, and sending SMSs and talking chitchat.parents should know the merits and demerits in allowing these mobiles with children.
Let parents think about it, Let teachers think about it and let all elders think about it.
we want our children grow up as good useful educated ones.
the decision is parents.
I request students too ,t think '' do they really need a mobile phone until they complete heir course?.''

No, Mobile Phone should not be allowed to schools at all. Because There is no reason for which the students should carry mobile phones to the schools. Rather it deviates students focus from studies and it encourages the prompt and show in students and uniformity is lost in the students.
They would be busy taking videos and still photographs, MMS, and discussing SMS Jokes and sharing SMS, MMS, Video, Pic etc and that will led them to entirely different way but the studies.
More over students in school are supposed to come in uniform and motive behind uniform is to maintain similarity among the students and there should not be disparity among and that motto will get lost totally in prompt and show.
So I believe that mobiles should not be allowed at all in schools.

There is no logical need for kids to have mobiles in school. It is entirely up to parents to buy mobiles for their kids but they should be switched off in school. Kids need to learn at an early age that mobile phones can be a nuisance in public places and there is a lot more to life than texting or playing on your mobile. Teachers' confidence and authority will be seriously undermined by active mobiles in the classroom. Learning will be disrupted and children will focus more on their gadgets as an alternative to having a real personality, friendships and learning.

According to me, mobile phones is one of the causes for spoiling the children. Today's generation is getting spoiled day by day. I think cell phones should be banned in all colleges & educational institutions. The students are getting distracted from their studies by bringing it to colleges. The students of higher secondry school are also getting distracted by such abuses. As I am also a student I know the importance of studies & I'll never do such nonsense.

most schools have some type of policy governing the use and ownership of cell/mobile phones.

while you may posess one, generally, they frown on using it during classtimes or to play games.

the concern is that the phones will be used to cheat, that they will take attention away from classroom work and study and that they are disruptive (multiple ringtones!).

many students carry them for use between or after classes for keeping in contact with parents and friends. Generally, schools ask that they be turned off or to vibrate only so that they will not disrupt the learning process.

some schools have policies that indicate inappropriate usage will result in the phone being confiscated.

if you have questions about the policy in your local area, consult your student handbook or call the guidance counselor or principal for clarification for your particular circumstance.

hope that helped.

No, The school is meant for children to come, learn and educate themselves. It isn't meant for entertainment and fun. if that is what a child wants, he may as well go to a club.
