i skipped my first period while on the pill, is that safe and can i keep doing it??

It is absolutely and COMPLETELY safe. My doctor put me on the continuous pill a year ago, to try and cure my endometriosis. He said that in this day and age, there is no reason for women to have to suffer through a period unless they want to. There are some women that have gone without a period for 20 years and still had a healthy baby when they wanted to. It was the best decision I ever made.

It's safe to do once in awhile (you know, like if your prom comes at a bad time), but you shouldn't keep doing it. If you don't want to get your period, there are other birth control methods that might be better for you. Check with you GYN and aske her what might be the best option.

No, it's not safe. Once or twice may not hurt, but if you keep doing it on a permanent basis, it could be very harmful. Your body needs a chance to slough off those cells. If it doesn't get that chance, it might lead to endometriosis, or maybe even cancer.
