this of course is according to islam.
is this not dangerous and stupid. how can a person/s be allowed to be voted into a democratic process, when the final outcome would be , they will change the political process, possibly causing revolt or civil war....just an idea what do you think?

There's no harm in having the odd Muslim MP, as this gives us a perspective of other race's points of views, which as a democratic country we embrace. The trouble is as the Muslim community grow they will out number the Christian population, then as more and more Muslim MP are elected, we will become a nation ruled by Islam. No doubt that's what the Muslim's are hoping for, just hope I'm long gone by that time.

Good point. To continue your line of thought, it makes me wonder if democracy, as imposed on Iraq for example, is actually against the religion, because, as you say, whatever happens is God's will, which is to be interpreted by religious clerics, who are, in fact, in charge of the laws of the country. It depends on how hard-line they are. Iran is supposed to be one of the most intolerant; Turkey has been tolerant but is heading more hard-line.
My own experience is that some fundamentalist Christians do not vote, because they say that God puts in charge who he wants there.
I suppose that Muslim politicians would say that they are there to represent their people; but people go into politics to make a difference, to influence decisions, so perhaps they also want to be a voice for Muslims & make sure our laws are sympathetic to the beliefs of Muslims. If, as you say, they take part in a democratic process, the outcome would presumably be democratic, so the system would change only if there were to be a majority of Muslim politicians voting for change. An interesting question!

Some christians believe the same thing, we can't stop everyone with religious views from taking part in public life, try that and there will be a revolt.
The point of democracy is that everyone is represented, whatever their views so moslems have as much right to be members of parliament as anyone else.

So your idea of democracy is to prevent certain people being allowed to be MPs, even if the electorate wants them.
Surely the idea of democracy is that the electorate selects their own representative, and no one has the right to tell them they can't have that person.
Your idea is as anti-democratic as those you seek to ban!

If technically the queen is head of state and head of church of england then technically they are muslims mp's in an anglican country. Good thing not all muslim are as narrow-minded as yourself he? There are a lot of them realise that religion or beliefs should not be a divider of peoples. And some of those are probably the very MP's you talking of.

No more dangerous than having a Christian in charge. The question is whether or not the candidate is fanatical about his/her beliefs. Anyone from any religion can be a good or shitty leader.
