I would do this with any type of os you like. start> shutdown> restart in ms dos mode. Type C:/ format, then format the drive, install your favorite operating system, and your ready to go, you can then set your own passwords, and information without all the hassle.

Contact the person who gave you the computer and ask them what the password is...you can then go to control panel go to user accounts and change the password to one of your choice. always change the password if someone gives you a computer.

try using the reboot disks first this will erase all paswords that have been on the computer
