They're not all to fond of a tasty stinky Blue on ur breath though are they?
Give me a superb English cheese like a fine Stinton or Red Leicester any day.
Red Leicester- very smooth, fantastic aroma, lovely aftertaste- 1/4 inch slices on Carr's Water-crackers with some tomato and cracked pepper- perhaps a dot of old HP.
Superb, my dear chap.
By the way- those interested in cheese may be impressed to know Britain has the greatest variety of traditional cheeses of any nation- we have 600+ compared to even the French's 400- and we employ far more variety of cheese-making traditions- moulds, salting, enzymes, etc.
Support your native traditional and organic British food industries by buying British cottage-industry cheese- it's even good for ye!

A cheese basket any time over flowers. Yumm.
I like Edam, it's mild but the only time I've written to a manufacturer to thank them for letting my tastebuds taste Heaven was when Cathedral City came out. That is the ultimate cheese sensation.
My local sandwich shop sells the biggest, softest stotties (round flat bread cakes) you can imagine and having Cathedral City and tomatoes nuked in one of those is to be believed.

I blooming well love cheese too, red Leicester on toast for dipping into tomato soup, Stilton cooked on huge mushrooms with ham wrapped round them or Stilton sauce poured over steak and mushrooms, Wensleydale with cranberries, garlic and herb, Cheshire and Cheddar for crackers or just scoffing lumps of, I love cheese so much I think I was a mouse in a former life.

I'm a huge fan of Muenster cheese myself. I'll eat it anyway anyhow...by the chunk, by the slice, doesn't matter. My kids call it "monster cheese"...lol.

Chunks of parmigiano or pecorino with slices of apples or pears, a stick or two of celery, a crisp roll and a glass of Chianti. Thank you very much. That will do very nicely.
