What happens when you press Alt+F4??? I don't want to try, what if it explodes or something??

IF YOU PRESS ALT+F4 YOUR COMPUTER WILL NOT EXPLODE.IT WILL JUST CLOSE THE WINDOW IN WHICH YOU ARE WORKING RIGHT NOW.IF YOU ARE AT THE DESKTOP,IT WILL SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPUTER.TRY IT.

Just open a window and press alt+F4 that open window will exit as it exits on exit command in file menu.A PC can't blast. Try alt+F4 only what I have written will happen. It is call key command.

It depends in what state the computer is in:
boot up; F8, will put get you to the menu for safe mode (depending on what you want to do).
Booted up, in other words in Windows environments, the different "F" keys will do different operations.
The three different configurations are:
"Ctrl" Key + "F" key of your choice.
"Alt" Key + "F" key of your choice.
"Shift" Key + "F" key of choice.
The "F" keys do different functions, with different applications. Such as when I use "Irfanview" and I want to have it capture a screen image. I would press the "Ctrl" and hold it, while I pressed the "F11" key and then release the keys. It captures the screen image. Remember there is nothing that can be permanently damaging to the computer (well most of the time).

All it does is close your tabs. Not much more. And although I've never done it, I know on certain gaming sites, it will shut down the pop-up where you play the game. I believe you if you do it you will still have the option to say yes or no that you want to close the tabs.

Nothing much dangerous happens. It usuallyt asks you if you want to close tabs on an Internet Explorer (or Firefox) browser.

Assuming you are using Windows, it will simply close the active window. In most cases, the program will ask you if you want to save your file.
