that's extremely straightforward - around a hundred and twenty,000 human beings a 12 months! the respond relies upon on the age of the motor vehicle and form of engine. cutting-edge diesels use quite severe injection pressures and the gasoline viscosity is severe. Petrol latest can bring about scarring of pump aspects, on an analogous time as seals would properly be plagued by using the compounds in petrol. If the vehicle continues to be under guarantee you could verify with the franchised broker related to the splendid remedial action - some manufacturers propose that seals and filters could be renewed whether the engine has no longer been run. If that's a famous diesel with straightforward rail or unit injectors and you have further any petrol in any respect then maximum suitable suggestion is that the vehicle should not be started and the tank could be drained - of course too previous due now on your case. If that's a diesel different than straightforward rail or unit injectors then you certainly could drain the tank in case you have further better than around 10% (5 litres in a 50 litre tank) of petrol. in case you have further below 10% petrol, then the tank could be crowned up with diesel and the vehicle run usually. So if it is an older engine you would be ok, a extra recent one and you have have been given away with it nevertheless destiny problems with the diesel pump would not be a ask your self.

Hopefully it will have been diluted and not cause any problems. If your tank was empty and you used the can to get you going something would have happened by now. Might be worth getting some petrol/tank treatments from Halfords, but I think you will be OK this time.
