because it is a questions and answers site you are supposed to answer the question asked otherwise what is the point. why don't you try asking a few questions to find out the answers that you want. you say that it is a stupid rule i think that yours is a stupid question i know i answered it so that makes me stupid as well

sometimes you have to answer with a question as they don't give you the full details. you only get reported if you right something nasty.
