okay people keep telling me i am pretty and stuff and idk if i believe them. are they joking? cuz i think if they were telling the truth then i would have a bf by now. guys always say "ur the prettiest girl in the school" and i know they love to joke around...is this the truth???

thank you. i know its not important whether you are good looking or not, i just wonder sometimes. i mean, when i look in the mirror i dont see anything special, but some say they do. and the ones that do are normally like the class clowns so i just dont know what to think. i try to be the nicest i can be, but that doesnt seem to change anything. i just want to know the truth!!

My daughter suffers from the same problem. Really pretty and popular girls tend to intimidate guys. They are afraid to ask these girls out in case they get rejected. If there is someone you would like to go out with then ask him,....my daughter has done modelling and yet she doesn't even have a date for the prom yet. I feel so bad for both of you but if you want him you'll have to go and get him girl!!

Guys are intimidated by the pretty girls and are afraid to ask them out, cause they will get shut down.
Perhaps you could work on being more friendly and outgoing and if you have put yourself up on a pedestal, come on down.
Get real, get active in sports, meet new people, socialize with different groups.
You will seem more norm to the guys and they won't be so afraid to ask you out.
By the way, just cause you don't have a bf doesn't mean anything.
Mr. Right could be waiting around the next corner. Don't be in such a hurry.
Chill a bit and attract people to you by being warm and friendly, you can turn this around in no time flat.
Say hi to that cute guy you like, stop and talk for a moment.... make the effort, you have to step out of your comfort zone here.

It's just perspective.
'Pretty' doesn't matter, really. Trust me. It's what you think inside that does. If you think nice thoughts, you really will look beautiful. I used to think this was complete crap, but believe me when I say I have seen this happen to a person because it will work the other way too. If you're really beautiful and hearing this from everyone turns your head, it'll reflect on your beauty. So stop worrying about how you look and start thinking of what sort of person you are.

it sounds like you may have some self esteem issues. if people are always telling you, you are pretty, then you must be pretty. even if they are joking (the boys) you should have the confidence in yourself to know that you are pretty. maybe you dont have a boyfriend because you are so pretty guys assume that you already have a boyfriend.
