Im having problems right now, my lan connection doesnt seem to be working and repairing the connection does nothing... It seems to be conflicting with my sonic wall VPN (for office) that I used a few hours back.

I already tried disabling the sonic wall adapter but nothing happens and if I try to disable it and shut down my computer, the pc freezes while shutting down (but i can still move the mouse, its like the pc is waiting for something)

I also tried disable the LAN connection under network places but the same thing happens.

I also tried uninstalling the network adapters for both sonic wall and my LAN and it just stops and when I shut down my computer it just waits for something...

and yes, I tried shutting down VPN and it shut down properly, but the problem is the virtual network it connected froze, its as if its always connected even on startup... and i couldn't disable it.

im really stuck

Wow you have done a few things that could have made it worse. I recommend using Windows Restore. Restore yur system back to a date where it was working is most likely the easiest thing to ask you to try. Please note however that restore will also unistall any software you have installed after the restore date you select. It does not touch your data files, only files that were in the windows directory and registry. You find restore under Start - Programs - accessories - system tools. Good luck.

Click on start> control panel > network connections > create a new connection
This should allow you to set-up another internet connection.

If the vpn is the problem, shutting down should solve it. Did you shut down successfully?
