i think you will find that the council appears to be "the dumping ground" i live in a housing association property in a quaint little village, most of my neighbours are all privately owned. Housing associations are different to councils in that they do not have huge housing estates or even build very many, they concentrate on individual needs, and they tend to have homes dotted around rather than like the council huge estates that are not looked after. Housing associations are independantley run and not controlled so therefore put the time and effort into looking after there houses.

Definetley not, housing associations are there for people on low incomes who may not be able to afford any other type of housing. There are always going to be people who cause trouble where ever you go, so just because housing associations may sometimes have a higher rate of crime and disturbance than private areas, this does not mean that everyone who is housed with housing associations are 'undesirable'. You cannot group people into catergories and say these people are like this, as everyone is an individaul and unique in their own right. The word 'undesirable' in a social context can mean a wide variety of things, you get 'undesirables' where ever you go.

No they are not. My Auntie lives in a housing association house. She was beaten by her her husband all through her pregnancy but she was scared to leave as she had nowhere to go. Once the baby was born, she escaped in the middle of the night and had to go to a shelter for battered women. She has struggled so much over the years, raising her son to be a perfect gentlemen and living on next to nothing to make sure he never went without. She has JUST got a housing association house, and her son is now 16. She is not an undesirable by any means. Her ex husband however, who is very undesirable still lives in a lovely 4 bedroom house, payed for by the state as he is on invalidity benefit, he works on the sly though.

Most who live in Housing Association properties are pillars of society and making the first step into buying their own home through shared ownership and some, of course, are undesirable. There are all sorts everywhere.

No, I don't think so,
maybe housing estates you mean for problems with bored children and teens not having the space and the money.
I didn't have the choice and I'm not undesirable, just young family and not enough council housing.

No they are not, like all area's in every town, you get good & bad people , just because you are lucky enough to be able to buy a house, it does not mean to say you will not get trouble, or nasty people living near you.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to. Do you mean areas such as apartment complexes for HUD housing and the like?
Those areas breed criminals and undesirables like wildfire. Most (not all) of these people are worthless, jobless, leaches on society and think those of us with jobs owe them a living. Anyone who refuses to support themselves or punches out a dozen kids to get a free apartment is scum to begin with. Gather all these turds in one area and you'll only get more turds.
