NO! That's why most insurance companies these days require photo's and inspection of the vehicle upon writing the policy! That's considered insurance farud if you make a claim!

Vandalism is covered under the "comprehensive" portion of your coverages, and it is subject to a deductible. Most likely, the body shop will just paint the scratched portion. Your entire car probably does not need re-painting. This would have no affect on your premium.

My guess is that it won't cover any damage on the car when you bought it. It will cover collision damage that takes place after you bought it (but not ordinary wear and tear). So if the bumps and scratches resulted from a collision after you bought it, you are probably covered. HOWEVER, there is a deductible! You have to pay the first $250 or $500 (or whatever) of any repair charges, so that means you will have to pay for these minor touch-ups. Another thing to keep in mind is that they don't like it if you make a lot of claims--your rates could go up.

They may cover it, but you would have to pay the deductible. You would have to call your local State Farm rep, and ask if your policy covers non-accident claims. You would be better off having the whole nose painted (front fascia, hood, both fenders), so the new paint blends into the rest of the body better. If you policy doesn't cover it, you may have to damage the car yourself, ie. lightly key the hood and fenders. Sounds shady, but it gets the job done.
