I have a myspace profile (yes I know) and I've been talking to this guy for a little over four months, we send each other these long messages and we have alot in common. And then we exchanged IM screennames and talk on there for hours.

We are suppsed to meet each other at a concert this summer. Welll anyway I think it's because of him that I'm holding back on relationships (with people around here).
Any solutions?

well the first thing that comes to mind is to stay away more from the computer.Go out more with friends, movies etc.Try to mix with people closer to home that you can actually see.Go with friends to the concert when you meet him, just to be careful.

Take it one day at a time and get to know him more before you meet up. If things work out, LD relationships can work, but are very dependent on the types of people trying to make them work. Dependent upon your morals, values, etc.

Take it a day at a time and always keep an eye out for red flags. Don't ignore them if they pop up.

They can work. It takes much patience and commitment. Uh, meeting at a concert this summer may not be a good place coz it's too loud, not good for talking.

You really don't know someone you are just writing to.

Even when you already have a relationship with someone who moves away the long distance relationship is all about loneliness and boredom. Life is too short.

They can work. But its hard. As the relationship progresses one of you would have to relocate. If that isnt an issue go for it. I think you would be better off looking for a person in your area though.
