You can. You might experience a slight drop in your milk production, so make sure to nurse often to keep your supply up. Take your prenatal vitamin, get plenty of nutrition and make sure to drink plenty of water.

Hi there sweetie. Yes, you can breastfeed during your pregnancy. It is possible that your baby will wean himself during the early months of pregnancy when it seems that some babies notice a difference in the taste of their mommy's milk. Then again he may wean himself around the 4th month when their is a slight reduction in the milk supply. OR, he may just wean himself when your milk changes to colostrum toward the end of pregnancy in preparation for nursing the new little one.
When you are pregnant it is like any other time that you are weaning your baby, remember the rule is always "gradually and with love".
Speaking strictly from a personal perspective, I was about four months along with my third baby when I decided to wean my older baby. It was accomplished very easily around my fourth month, he was almost a year old and he accepted it very well. I think he had been about ready to wean himself anyway and it just suddenly occured to me that I was goint to be breastfeeding two babies at once if I did not do something! More than anything I felt that every baby when he is born deserves to be the only one nursing. Each baby deserves the colostrum that their mother produces just for them and they should not have to share it with anyone else.
It is of course a personal decision that you will need to make for yourself. Most good books on breastfeeding will talk about it and the book that the La Leche League has written "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" does a nice job of covering the pro's and con's. It also gives you some wonderful information should you decide to nurse both babies. I would want to add that some thought should be given to how old the baby is. If the baby that you are nursing now would have to be but on a bottle I would have some serious doubts as to whether or not that would be advisable. If your baby is closer to one year then that is an easier decision to make.
I just want to congratulate you for being one of those wise, wonderful mothers who has discovered the incredible blessing of brestfeeding. Your baies are sure to be a joy to you and they will be happy, healthy little ones also. You are giving them the very best start in life that you could possibly give them. Next to life itself, the decision to breastfeed is the most important one you will ever make for them. You are a wonderful mother, when you are breastfeeding your babies there is not much that you can do wrong. Everything else just sort of takes care of itself!
Congratulations on your new little one. Good for you for making the wonderful decision to nurse your baby!
Love and Blessiongs

No dear, u should not. Reason is that during pregnancy, there is a natural surge(abrupt increase) of female sex hormones like estrogen, etc, which are to be present in the breast milk and therefore can harm the baby's physiology. Shift ur baby to bottle feeding or if possible, weaning.

Yes.

"Finding out you are pregnant does not mean you must stop breastfeeding your toddler. Many mothers choose to continue breastfeeding throughout pregnancy, while others decide to wean. The following information may help you decide what is best for you and your family.

Relatives, friends and health care professionals may express doubts about breastfeeding while pregnant. Their concerns might include that you would be risking the health of your unborn baby. It may be reassuring to know that in a normal pregnancy there is no evidence that continuing to breastfeed will deprive your unborn child of necessary nutrients. In addition, according to the La Leche League International BREASTFEEDING ANSWER BOOK, 3rd Edition 2003, page 407. "Although uterine contractions are experienced during breastfeeding, they are a normal part of pregnancy. .. Uterine contractions also occur during sexual activity, which most couples continue during pregnancy." Also, according to the BAB, page 408, "Currently, no specific medical guidelines exist that define in which situations it may be risky to continue breastfeeding during pregnancy, and prenatal caregivers vary widely in their recommendations." The materials listed in the "Additional Resources" section of this FAQ will help you address the fears others may express.

Needing extra rest is normal in pregnancy. Breastfeeding during your pregnancy may help you get extra rest if you breastfeed your toddler while lying down. Completely childproofing one room with a mattress or pallet on the floor would allow you to continue to rest if your toddler goes off to play. Who knows, you both may drift off for a little nap!"

I would be careful though as i didn't know I was pregnant and was breastfeeding and my son lost a lot of weight so make sure you are eating well and check your other childs weight often. I was told that your body stops making proper milk for your child and starts making the first milk a newborn baby has as your body naturally prioritises your new baby, check with your doc/midwife.

Sure. Just let the person know ahead of time that you are going to latch on so you don't get into any legal trouble. LOL!

Just kidding. If you are pregnant and have a little one who is able to walk that you want to keep sucking on your titty, quit it. That just sounds really strange to me that your toddler who is eating solid foods is still sucking on your titty. Break that child of it. That child does not need your milk any more. One year is good enough, anything after that sounds strange to me.

You can! Check out the book _Adventures in Tandem Nursing_, it has a lot of good info on nursing during pregnancy and nursing two.

I've nursed during two of my pregnancies.
