is there a big difference between different companies RAM. if yes what and why ?
if i buy transcend 1 GB DDR 2 667 instead of HYnix 1 GB DDR 2 667, by percentage wise how much difference i will get ?

Well, different manufacturers only differ by THEIR implementation of the technology, but the end result is basically the same, so by theory the Hynix and the Corsair RAMs, if they have the same speed (667 in this case) their performance should be similar.

The difference is how they achieved those speeds. So they have different timing/speeds but end up in the same specifications, because of this certain combinations of RAMs may not work when used with each other (Stability problems and so forth) , so it's suggested to buy the same brand and speed for the RAMs.

If you are expanding the RAM that you already have, try to get the same brand.

RAM is built to a specification. If it WORKS, and is recommended by the motherboard manufacturer... then USE IT.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
