I wonder why some americans "coincedently far left" calling on US to withdraw troops from iraq, claiming the war is illegal... I m iraqi and I know many iraqis support US troops. we have a job to defeat terrorists, terrorists enemy of Iraq and US , terrorists don't need reason to attack, they teach to hate and they fight to dominate.
Why those americans calling on withdrawing troops, putting iraqis in more greive danger, putting their friends to horrible fate. Iraq is not veitnam, Many iraqis including Iraq government supports US, Iraq is like Israel, two countries fighting for their existance and they are well in the interest of americans.
why do you think after all these facts, some americans still protest against US troops in Iraq, and calling them home when more than 3000 americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis sacrified for the goal that haven't accomplished yet! why I just want to know why!

Americans have many different feelings about being in Iraq.
As you mentioned, some Americans believe this war is illegal and our troops should have never gone there.
Some Americans feel we need to stay and finish the job.
Some Americans believe the Iraqi people aren't doing enough to secure their own freedom; you depend too much on us and we're not willing to stay there forever taking care of you. Our troops are stressed and tired from multiple deployments. You need to step up and take more control if you want to defeat terrorism. Put your own destiny in your own hands. If you don't learn to handle terrorists yourselves, it really won't matter how well we clean up terrorism before we leave, because they'll be right back after we leave.
Something needs to change; it can't stay like this forever.

That's right Iraq is like Israel, Iraq could be a better allie than Israel, if people would stop freaking out.
If Iraq can function on its own and fight terrorism and extremism, that's a good thing.
Down the road Iraq will be a force of stability in the region.
Many Americans get hysterical over little things that mean nothing, so when something big and important comes along they just can't handle it, or cant think clearly because they're emotions and feelings cloud their judgment!

Hollywood and the liberal propaganda machine called our main stream media have convinced many in the US that it is better to leave Iraq and let it become a radical islamic state. They are willing to allow mass slaughter and probable loss of any chance of stability in the region. Anything is justified as long as it can make our presedent look bad.
It is sad and normally would be un-american, but sometimes politics rule and the liberals just can't allow success in Iraq.

mothers and wife's want their husbands home. children miss their moms or dads. it's hard to want out troops there when we hear other Iraqis saying get the Americans out of their. if the terrorist would stop attacking our military would be able to leave. i hope you people get the problem straighten out soon. god bless.

I truthfully am uninterested in wars, besides the fact that in case you exaggerate. we've had to shield ourselves many circumstances. we've not been in a conflict i might desire to assist on the grounds that WWII. yet i'm a patriot, this continues to be my u . s . and this is the folk that make a u . s ., no longer its government.

I think Americans are used to getting what they want, 24/7 and that will not--and can not--happen with war. That, and with all of the partisan in-fighting, they've come to distrust their leaders.

I think it would be stupid to just pack up and go and have the soldiers that died, die for something that we are just going to abandon. People are just focusing on what bad things are happening in Iraq.

Thank you for your wise input. I for one believe we need to stay and finish our mission there! I would be embarassed were our country to leave art this point. Americans have always fought to win!
