I can't remember exactly, but in one ground in Chesterfield or somewhere, there is a big tree at the side of the pitch. Sometimes a ball is hit into the tree, and the fielding side have to get it out while the batsmen keep running. One time the ball was so high and difficult to get to that the batsmen ran over 100 times, I think it was 127.

In my local club we needed 13 to win of the last ball. it started of as a no ball then we ran 2 and they gave us 4 over throws, on the final ball we smashed a 6. Great!

haha, i've got a number of them yet there are some new ones i've got not heard! i admire this alians description of cricket ""I went to a great green field formed like a meteorite crater. around the perimeters, countless thousand worshippers accumulated. Then 2 priests walk to the centre of the sphere to an oblong area and hammer six spears into the floor, 3 at each and every end. Then 11 greater priests walk out, clad in white robes. Then 2 severe priests wielding golf equipment walk to the centre and considered one of the different priests starts throwing a crimson orb at those with the golf equipment." "Gee," spoke back the different alien, "what happens next?" "Then it starts to rain."

In the summers of 1923, 24 and 25, cricket balls were in short supply due to the effects of a leather workers union strike in 1897. Because of the shortage balls were used until the red fell off. During this period, one ball was used in one hundred and sixty seven county matches, and was struck for 52,116 runs all told. Not bad for one ball.
