The hotel's website says the rooms have been renovated recently. Have all the rooms been renovated or just some?

I was at the Riviera in December, but just to grab a dog at Hound Doggies and look around. If they were renovating, they were doing a great job of hiding it. Then again maybe they are only working on the rooms.

You could do so much better for the $$$ if you don't mind not having a pool and obviously if you were thinking of staying at the Riviera a pool was not your first consideration. Try the (ex) Barbary Coast now Bill's Gamblin Hall

They have very nice rooms, plasma screen TV's, great location etc

Or try the Stratosphere it's a very nice hotel, most people don't like the location. Which makes it all the better for bargain hunters

they will price match the best online rate you can find for their hotel.

i just was there last week to see a friend who was here for a conference. I didn't see his room, but he stated the hotel was old and didn't like the room. So i would say that only certain rooms had been renovated. He really dind't like the hotel that much...

The Riviera is a fair hotel for what it is. It's basically at the end of the strip which kind of sucks. But for the amount of time that you spend in your room. It's alright.
